Nice (He)art Prize

The (He)art for (He)art Program offers an artist, selected on Art-o-rama, the opportunity to participate in its residency program, which includes a 6 to 8 week stay, creative assistance, the production of a new series of works and one or more exhibitions afterwards.

The (He)art for (He)art Program wants to share the history of Nice and its region, inviting the laureate to walk in the footsteps of the great masters who have stayed there in the past and still do.

Bringing in the artists allows them to be inspired by their history and their various public and private collections, creating a real dialogue with the local fabric. Our goal is to share another contemporary vision with the various audiences and institutions which the program works with in close collaboration. It also allows them to propose exhibitions built in a more ecological way and to give the artist participating in the program new forms of inspiration, to support them in new projects and to give a better visibility to their work.

The (He)art for (He)art Program, created by Francisca Viudes, proposes the Nice (He)art Prize. Francisca Viudes brought together a jury made up of collectors and professionals from the art world including Joanna Chevalier, Sylvie and Bruno Compagnon, Unik Ernest, Brigitte and François Fauchon, Stéphanie Fribourg and Nathalie Girard. The laureate will be invited to the Heart for Heart program.

In 2023 the laureate of the prize is Nicolás Lamas represented by Meessen De Clercq (Brussels). The previous edition of the prize awarded Lucia Tallová, represented by Tomas Umrian (Paris/Bratislava).
