Habiter

Gilles Barbier

April 2 to September 27, 2026

The exhibition Habiter by Gilles Barbier, at the Musée Regards de Provence in Marseille, brings together around forty works, combining creations made for the occasion with existing pieces, the earliest dating back to 1992. Through emblematic series such as Les Pions and Habiter la Peinture, which have punctuated the artist’s practice since its beginnings, and more recent bodies of work such as Habiter la Viande, Stasis, and Naufrages, the exhibition highlights the central motif of his work: inhabiting. Without claiming to be a retrospective, it reveals the deep coherence of a practice that, for more than thirty years, has questioned the ways we occupy and perceive the world, articulating early gestures with contemporary concerns.

Dubout. L’art de tout dessiner

Albert Dubout

Du 24 mars au 20 septembre 2026

The exhibition Dubout, the Art of Drawing Everything pays tribute to one of the greatest French illustrators of the 20th century, a native of Marseille, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of his passing. Albert Dubout (1905–1976), a master of line and satirical observation, left his mark on more than fifty years of artistic life with a prolific, inventive body of work of exceptional scope. He is one of the few artists to have explored, with such talent, every form of graphic expression: press illustration, book illustration, painting, posters, cinema, advertising, and animation, both in France and internationally.
