Mrzyk & Moriceau – Best Wishes from Jamaica
April 15 – September 24, 2023
What really happened during their residency in Jamaica? The artist couple remain very vague about the six months they spent in this Caribbean island state, even if by their own admission they did not return unscathed from this adventure. The immersive exhibition Best Wishes from Jamaica is the fruit of this residency, which suggests many stories.
John Armleder – Yakety Yak
April 15 – September 24, 2023
Painter, performer, curator, collector, publisher, gallerist, John Armleder (1948, Geneva) is a major figure in contemporary art. His work is literally polymorphous: it cannot be identified with a single medium, procedure, style or aesthetic universe.
Fabcaro
April 15 – September 24, 2023
Fabcaro is active on the alternative publishing scene (6 pieds sous terre, La Cafetière), in the fanzine world and with larger publishers (Fluide Glacial, Le Lombard, Dargaud). This graphic humorist uses a variety of comic devices that place him in the tradition of such great names as Gotlib and Hergé, as well as his contemporaries Trondheim and Sattouf.
Le Retour. New exhibition of the collections
April 15 – September 24, 2023
This exhibition of collections is the latest episode in an ongoing series: the long complicity between Cnap and Mrac. A new selection of works from the national contemporary art collection, most of them recently acquired, take up residence in the museum’s galleries, in dialogue with the regional collection, for one year. The twenty-nine artists, from all generations, work in Europe – half of them in France – and the United States. Many of the works are presented for the first time in France and/or in a museum context.
