Southway Studio will propose a booth curated by Emmanuelle Luciani: a quartet composed of Bella Hunt & Ddc, Jacopo Pagin, Etienne Marc and Jenna Kaës: four artists who are renewing the relationship with decoration and design, promoting domestic art and the handmade. Southway Studio works on melting the boundaries between minor and major arts, that’s exactly what is shown in this exhibition.
The quartet is evolving and participating in the Southway Studio ecosystem, where they reconcile art, everyday life, creation and beauty. They reconnect theory to practice, notably in the heart of the Southway pavilion and its residences.
Their pieces are unique, navigating between decorative arts and art. Southway Studio and the quartet build environments, worlds and ensembles in are turn to the decorative arts. Their collaboration allows us to contemplate and understand formal resurgences of art history.
