Pâme, London
Carole Mousset
For Art-o-rama 2026, Pâme presents a series of limited edition prints on silk by Carole Mousset. Multimedia artist based in Brussels, her work examines the body and its relationship to intimacy, approaching it as a fluid and evolving structure. Through close-up compositions, she dissects ambiguous and organic forms, rendered through a carnal and dreamlike visual language. These mesmeric anatomical scenes produce a sensual yet slightly grotesque tension, where erotic attraction and discomfort coexist.
For the fair, Pâme’s collaboration with Carole is centred on marine organisms and the erotic ambiguity of underwater life. The pieces present close-up depictions of hybrid marine beings and other fluid forms inspired by the coastal environment of Marseille. Continuing Mousset’s exploration of organic interiors and abject matter, the works examine the sensual and slightly monstrous qualities of marine bodies. The paintings are translated by Pâme into glossy silk pieces, whose slippery surface reinforces the viscous quality of the imagery, extending the tactile and material language of the works.
