Les rêves n’ont pas de titre
Les rêves n’ont pas de titre
Zineb Sedira
May 21st to September 27, 2026
Presented in France for the first time, the installation Les rêves n’ont pas de titre by Zineb Sedira, originally conceived for the French Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale, for which the artist received the Special Jury Mention, has been adapted for the Panorama at La Friche la Belle de Mai as part of the Mediterranean Season.
For 25 years, Zineb Sedira has developed a sensitive practice centered on migration, the act of storytelling, and the biases inherent in official narratives. Her films constitute an in-depth archival exploration of identity and cultural activism.
At the Panorama, the adapted installation includes a life-size cinema screening the film Les rêves n’ont pas de titre, which explores the interplay between fiction and reality, with the artist taking on the roles of both performer and observer. Through an autobiographical narrative, she connects key moments of her life to broader geopolitical events, avant-garde cinema, and diasporic experiences.
