Villa Arson

Staring at the Sun

2026 Graduates’ Exhibition

July 10 to September 27, 2026

Curation: Martha Kirszenbaum

The exhibition of the 2026 graduates from Villa Arson, entitled Staring at the Sun, invites us to “look the sun in the face.” It brings together a generation of artists who have chosen a sharp yet sensitive lucidity. It observes the tensions, flows and paradoxes of the contemporary world, translating its questions through aesthetic forms where matter and language meet to sketch out poetic, lived alternatives.

Là où le jour cède

Solo exhibition by Dany Albiach

July 10 to September 27, 2026

Curation: Pauline Vermeren

Dany Albiach conceives of art as a relational and existential space, capable of transforming his relationship to others, to daily life and to memory. A 2024 graduate of Villa Arson, he develops a practice attentive to what seems ordinary or insignificant, in order to reveal its emotional and sensory depth.

His works appear as fragile attempts to preserve intimacy in the face of time, erasure and disappearance. Drawing on screen printing and drawing, his work is shaped by the experience of insomnia, which infuses his compositions with intense blues and nocturnal depths, evoking silence, dreams and diffuse memories.

His artistic influences blend with the landscapes that have marked his journey, from the shores and reliefs of La Réunion to the maritime horizons of Nice. Through crepuscular landscapes, plays of reflection and fragments of body or nature, Dany Albiach composes spaces suspended between fiction and remembrance.
