EL Meya was born in Constantine in 1988. She lives and works in Algiers. For her first solo show in France, she presents a series of paintings created in Algeria and during her residency at the Villa Arson in Nice in spring 2023.
Rewinding internationalism

The exhibition consists of the production of five new works, as well as loans and archival documents from public and private collections. The project’s point of departure is the 1990s, a period when internationalism was in a state of flux in many different political and cultural contexts.
