Art today can’t help but take sport into account, as the backdrop to our contemporary societies. On the initiative of the Frac Sud – Cité de l’art contemporain and at the invitation of its director Muriel Enjalran, curator and art critic Jean-Marc Huitorel has designed an exhibition in three leading cultural institutions in the Southern Region and the City of Marseille. Des exploits, des chefs-d’oeuvre examines the relationship between art and sport through over 350 works by nearly 100 French and foreign artists, combining fascination, criticism and humor…

Frac Sud has invited students from the École Supérieure d’Art d’Aix-en-Provence Félix Ciccolini to take over the Frac Sud’s Plateau Expérimentations, as part of the exhibition Des exploits, des chefs-d’œuvre, and in close connection with its theme.
