For its first participation to ART-O-RAMA, Sultana Gallery will present new works by Gavin Perry (US) and Beatriz Monteavaro (Cuba).
Beatriz Monteavaro will present a sculpture that evoques children games ensemble that she realizes with cardboard, recycled paintings and “papier mâché”. She will also present collages made of old drawings. Gavin Perry will take on one of the booth’s wall that he will cover with transparent fluorescent resin along with a mobile structure composed of found objects covered with resin of the same colour as the wall. This work will come along with silver foils on paper, big framed drawings that foggily reflect the exhibition space in which they are set up.
Sultana associated its participation to the fair with a summer residence of Gavin and Beatriz at the American Gallery of Pamela King, based in Marseille. Two simultaneous exhibitions of the artists will be presented, one at ART-O-RAMA and one at the American Gallery with pieces produced specifically for each venue.
