Spiaggia Libera, Marseille x Punta Gallery, Sofia

Veronika Desova, Slava George, Elvire Ménétrier

As part of an ongoing collaboration between Spiaggia Libera and Punta Gallery, this curatorial proposal reflects a commitment to forging lasting ties between the French and Bulgarian art scenes. Following two exhibitions held in Bulgaria — in Varna (September 2025) as part of the Buna festival, and then in Sofia (March 2026) — this project takes the form of an expanded dialogue uniting the practices of Elvire Ménétrier, Slava George, and Veronika Desova.

Through distinct formal and conceptual approaches, the three artists share a common attention to systems of representation and the collective imaginaries that structure our perceptions. The dialogue between the three artists brings forth a space of resonance where symbolic modes of narration, archaic imaginaries, and contemporary questioning intertwine. Between body, myth, and architecture, the exhibition proposes to explore the tensions that run through our systems of belief and the forms — visual, social, or spatial — that embody them.
