Rolando Anselmi, Berlin

Rolando Anselmy gallery’s project aims to present a dialogue between two young emerging artists : Jodie Carey (b. 1981, England) and Davide Balliano (b. 1983, Italy). The main concept is a focus on sculpture and its significance today in the 21st century, revealing at the same time the attitude of creating a constant dialogue between the sculptures and other different media, creating a unique body of works in a more environmental presentation.

The group of sculptures, works on canvas and intervention on paper, builds a minimal environment suggesting an overlapping of ages, a void where architecture and the decay of me seems to merge. Through the use of geometry as tool of translation, the artists describe in a different way the research of a hidden order, a map of meanings that constitutes the basement of creation.
