Marion Denoual - Mélissa Mariller

Welcome to our innovative vision of the waiting room, where time is redefined as an opportunity for connection and exchange. Our project brings together Marion Denoual’s Revue Maison and Mélissa Mariller’s functional, sculptural furniture, in a scenography that reinterprets the traditional codes of the waiting room to create a contemporary, engaging space.
Rather than a space we usually inhabit passively, where reading is the only escape from an often too-long time, here we invite visitors to sit with us, to explore the magazine and discover the furniture, to invest them fully. Our concept is based on the idea of transforming the waiting room into a place for meeting and sharing.

The scenography of our space combines object and graphic design to create an environment to explore. Elements of furniture specially designed by Mélissa Mariller are integrated into the space, and two cut PVC curtains create a certain intimacy within the large plateau that is Art-o-rama’s Publishers & Design space. Graphic design elements created by Marion Denoual are also present on the wall, adding different levels of narrative to the whole and tying it all together.

 

By fostering synergies between all the players in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, whether they come from the cultural, economic, industrial, associative, institutional, entrepreneurial, or educational fields, Marseille Design Méditerranée aims to contribute fully to the development of design in the region and the Mediterranean basin.

As a meeting point for creators, Marseille Design Méditerranée aims to pool energies to create new dynamics and promote local design in all its diversity, in keeping with an identity that is both strong and open.
