2013

Hopstreet, Brussels

For ART-O-RAMA 2013, Hopstreet proposes a solo show by Icelandic artist Egill Sæbjörnsson. He will present a video-installation that consists of a wall-mounted construction on which he will show one of his latest productions.

Egill Sæbjörnsson’s work is an approach to experience with elements of sculpture, animation and sound interacting in a playful and inventive way. Music plays a vital part in his installations, he is a musician as much as a visual artist.

Sæbjörnsson has always been fascinated by video and animation, and his current work can be seen as the (techno)logical continuation of three-dimensional drawings. The communication of the installation between sculptural objects and computer-animated images projections creates self-generative works.
