For the 2022 edition of Art-o-rama, the Belgian gallery F R A C A S presents a selection of contemporary artists who have worked around a common theme: the plant pot, the planter.

Each piece presented at the fair is a unique work, created especially for the occasion by contemporary ceramic artists. Particular attention has been paid, in addition to the form always very embodied, to the functioning of each pot: what plant will grow in it and how the container will allow it to evolve? What kind of watering can be done in it, how is the water kept, or not, and how does it flow out? Is it to be used indoors, outdoors, or both?In other words, real objects to live in and allowing a life adapted to the plants contained.

Each artist has appropriated its constraints and offers a singular vision of this everyday object, making extraordinary a somewhat banal object.

These works are odes to the living world and to patience, to the beauty of plants and to craftsmanship. A celebration of life!
