Established in 2024 in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, the Éditions du Lavoir association is dedicated to the promotion of the printed image, specifically specializing in copperplate engraving.

As specialized studios become increasingly scarce, our mission is to preserve this historical printmaking technique, a hallmark of precision and traditional craftsmanship. The association originated within the Tazé – Lipreau – Araï studio, located in the Villa du Lavoir. This creative hub, which brings together diverse artists and artisans, continues a long-standing tradition of excellence in engraving and fine art publishing.

In 2025, Éditions du Lavoir initiated a micro-publishing program for original prints, designed to support emerging artists. This initiative provides creators with a professional and collaborative environment, offering access to high-standard material, technical guidance, and the production of limited editions.

This model, based on a shared edition between the artist and the association, actively supports the dissemination of the work while ensuring the sustainability of the association’s activities. Through this commitment, Éditions du Lavoir champions contemporary printmaking, fostering a dialogue between technical heritage and the next generation of artists.
