Modulab, Metz

Charles Kalt, Irma Kalt

For Art-o-rama 2024, Modulab presents a solo-show by French artist Charles Kalt. In an original scenography, we present a series of works that punctuate the artist’s career (prints, artists’ books, printed objects, installations) and fully explore the multi-disciplinary techniques of printing and the multiple: etching, silkscreen, xylography, flat offset printing, etc., in a relationship to the unique piece.

Founded in 2011, the Modulab workshop-gallery in Metz welcomes artists and collectives from the emerging French or foreign scene whose approaches question the field of drawing, installation and multiple. Modulab develops tools for dissemination: exhibitions, publications, art editions and is committed to the artists it supports. Modulab strengthens and brings together in this collective project the skills, operating methods and tools necessary to make the work of emerging artists visible.
