2013

Antoine Levi, Paris

Galerie Antoine Levi’s project for ART-O-RAMA 2013 is a solo show by Polish painter Piotr Makowski (b. 1985, Gdynia).

Néopopavantgarde is a series of works consisting of big paintings on canvas and ink drawings on paper.

Makowski’s reflection is based upon the international historical avant-garde that the artist will however dispossess from any prevailing formal contents. The “Néopopavantgarde” paintings that
will be shown at ART-O-RAMA according to, on the contrary, a strict display, read then into a critic consideration upon the nature of Painting and its potentialities within contemporaneity.
