2011

acdc, Bordeaux & Super Window Project, Kyoto

In the frame of ART-O-RAMA 2011, galerieACDC invites their fellow gallery Super Window Project based in Kyoto since 2007 and run by Baron Osuna. Each gallery will gather pieces by the artists they represent : Morgane Tschiember, Soshi Matsunobe, Sandrine Pelletier and Mathieu Mercier for Super Window Project ; While galerieACDC will show Clédat&Petitpierre and a new art piece by Pierre Labat produced while he was a resident at Villa Kujoyama in Japan.

Their curatorial project gathers pieces around the representations we usually have of Japan : search for the ideal of quietness in the proximity with Nature and physical as well as spiritual relief through plants. The aim is to create an art pieces garden half way between the French model based on geometric rigorism and the Japanese notions of minimal and zen one can find in the Ryoan-Ji temple and its stone garden classified by the Unesco as universal heritage. The project grounds on Japan’s fundamental esthetical principles softly blending form, colour in an art pieces set which brings us to experience another type of garden, utterly contemporary.
