Cécile Bart and Ode Bertrand are the tandem guests of this 2023 edition, in dialogue not only with each other but also with a selection of works from the Albers-Honegger Donation.

 

Jean-Pierre Bertrand – Time removing

The work of Jean-Pierre Bertrand (Paris, 1937-2016) is rooted in an arithmetical approach to time and nature, the porosity of media and cinema. The exhibition is conceived in collaboration with the Jean-Pierre Bertrand Endowment Fund, which was created in 2019 with the aim of keeping the French artist’s work active on the French and international scenes, and closely linking his artistic approach with the art of today.

 

IMPACT

As part of its ecological transition, to be launched in 2021, the eac. and its entire team have been made acutely aware of environmental issues. With this in mind, a strategy and action plan have been drawn up to rethink the Centre d’Art’s methods in the light of sustainable development criteria. The exhibition will reveal how certain artists encourage us to shift our point of view on the environment in order to change our impact on biodiversity, promote its restoration and enhance the value of ecosystems.
