Bady Dalloul, Nikita Kadan, Georges Tony Stoll

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the gallery, Jérôme Poggi is pleased to propose a special project for the new edition of Art-O- Rama. First fair the gallery participated in 2009, we are delighted to come back to Marseille and present a booth echoing the specificity of the artistic program proposed by the gallery since its inception. Therefore, three artists of different generations, nationalities and practices will be gathered at our booth at Art-O-Rama. 

 

BADY DALLOUL (1986, Paris, FR)

This young artist of Syrian origin graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Beaux- Arts de Paris in 2015, joined the gallery only a couple of months ago. Between imaginary and real, his work proposes a reflection on the process of creation of states and questions in extent the writing of history through a practice imbued with candid sincerity. Currently in residence at the Center for Contemporary Arts of Lagos (NG) proposed by the Kadist Foundation, Body Dalloul will have an important solo show at the Darat al Funun Foundation in Amman (JO) next September.

 

NIKITA KADAN (1982, Kiev, UA)

Nikita Kadan joined the gallery after the invitation he got of Babi Badalov for him to participate to his solo show, De More Cry Sea in 2018.

Winner of Pinchuk Art Prize in 2011 and Special Prize of Future Generation Art Prize in 2014, he participates to numerous biennales including Busan (2018), Venise (2015, 2013, 2011), Kiev (2017, 2015), Istanbul (2015) and also Lyon (2013). He benefits from many solo shows in Europe, in particular M HKA of Anvers in 2018 or more recently MUMOK (Vienna, AT)

 

GEORGES TONY STOLL (1955, Marseille, FR).

Originally from Marseille, Still is one of the unique figures of the French art scene. He might be particularly internationally recognized for his photographs, presented in Arles this summer, but Stoll also has a practice of painting that he never stopped practicing. Since 2016, he has begun a series of painting entitled

« Paris Abysse » which today reaches almost three hundred paintings and which the new painting, different from the earlier ones by their smaller format, will be presented on our stand in front of twenty of his « woolen paintings »
