Éclats d’eaux, Héloïse Pierre-Emmanuel
Heloïse Pierre-Emmanuel lives in the Loire region where she draws in nature. She works in charcoal, starting with dark matter and bringing out the light with erasers. She says: “by subtraction, the invisible illuminates the visible from within” (a reference to Merleau-Ponty). She dreams of making perceptible “the breath that the visible would have in its back” (Rilke). Nature is her source of inspiration as a “constant gift”, and Heloise would describe her drawing as a “perception of scarcity” that carries love and rebellion. Her work offers the rare ferment of love and struggle through surges of light appearing among the trees.
