O-Town House, Los Angeles (CA)
Constantin Nitsche and Adam Stamp
For Art-o-rama, O-Town House presents the work of two artists. First, the work of the astoundingly talented, Marseille-based, German artist, Constantin Nitsche. His paintings were first shown at O-Town House in the summer of 2021 (his first solo exhibition). The exhibition was brilliant and wildly successfully, but the best consequence of the show was how inspired he was by the resonance – so that he returned to studio with new energy and plenty of ideas. O-Town House is excited about presenting his work to a Marseille audience, together with Catherine Bastide, with whom we are doing an exhibition of Constantin’s work to happen concurrently with Art-o-rama in Marseille. Together with this new body of work from Constantin, O-Town House proposes an original, site-specific sculpture by the Los Angeles-based artist, Adam Stamp. His truly unique practice is based in sculpture, drawing but most importantly social forms. His sculptures are intended to be used – as sites of social engagement. Sculptures upon which people can meet, engage, and narratives can unfurl. Adam has produced a “bar” sculpture that creates a space to engage and enjoy. Visitors can take a seat and take it all it, or lean on his work and have a chat about what’s around them. O-Town House was founded as a decidedly ‘social’ space, and the Art-o-rama presentation with Adam Stamp and Constantin Nitsche embodies these ideals. The potential is very exciting!
