Marion Mailaender, Paris
After studying at the Ecole Boulle, Marion Mailaender launched her interior architecture and design agency in Paris. Since then, she has created objects as well as scenographies, or carried out residential, hotel and commercial projects, Her audacity and humor have already seduced many creative personalities such as Amélie Pichard, Sophie Calle or the Colombian designer Esteban Cortazar, who have trusted her through unique projects.
Her audacity and her sense of detail and materials exult when she moves her cursor to the scale of the object. Her free spirit allows her to go beyond the boundaries of eras, whose references she handles brilliantly.
Marion Mailaender uses everyday details in her objects that may seem trivial, but which nevertheless constitute the basis of memory to be reactivated.
For Art o rama, she presents Jardin Public, a series of tables and vases in powder-coated steel inspired by the grids of urban gardens on which one can find bicycles or scooters attached. She also continues to explore the idea of “takeaway architecture” with a collection of Placoplatre lamps.
