Monte di Pietà

The fruit of a collaboration between Lorraine de Sagazan and Anouk Maugein, Monte di Pietà lays bare injustice and the pain it provokes. For the occasion, the director and set designer have collected some two hundred objects: they are linked to traumatic memories of violence or crime, but their owners have been unable to bring themselves to throw them away. Labeled and consigned, these objects accumulate in the space to create a “sanctuary of sorrow”. The installation is activated by a poetic performance combining storytelling and improvisation, with texts by Laura Vazquez.
The Monte di Pietà exhibition is produced in collaboration with the Festival d’Avignon, in conjunction with Lorraine de Sagazan’s new show, Léviathan, from July 15 to 21, 2024 at the Gymnase du Lycée Aubane.
Alchimie de la rencontre

A contemporary art collection is first and foremost the promise of discovery in permanence, of a constantly renewed enchantment shared through encounters. For seven months, the Alchimie de la rencontre exhibition program will feature a new presentation of works from the Collection Lambert in the entirety of two 18th-century townhouses.
