For Art-o-rama 2026, Substance presents Strata Massilia 1.0, a platform dedicated to emerging manufacturing practices at the intersection of design, art and digital technologies.

 

This inaugural edition brings together research by Julie Mallet Studio, e99 and a selection of pieces from the Print Furn project, exploring different approaches to additive manufacturing, computational design and new relationships between design and production.

 

Through objects, prototypes and experiments, Strata Massilia examines how digital tools are transforming creative processes today. The exhibition brings together approaches that share a common focus on materials, manufacturing systems and the forms produced by contemporary technologies.

 

Conceived as an evolving initiative, this first edition lays the foundations for a network of reflection and exchange around Digital Craft and new manufacturing cultures in Marseille and the Mediterranean.

 

Led by Substance, a space for research, production and dissemination at the crossroads of art, design and manufacturing, Strata Massilia is conceived as an open platform dedicated to new manufacturing practices and dialogues between craftsmanship, digital technologies and contemporary creation.
