Les Rendez-vous du Design et de l’Art Contemporain (RDV/DAC) is an association (under the French law of 1901) dedicated to the two artistic practices of Contemporary Art and Design. Through visits to studios and exhibitions, it provides an exciting gateway for all its members (75 people in 2024) who are both curious and novices in these fields.

With two to three visits a month to art fairs, exhibitions, residency outings, inspiring lectures and a range of exclusive benefits, RDV/DAC offers its members, art and design enthusiasts, an enriching experience.

Its scope of action extends across the south-east of France, particularly in Marseille, with one of the largest concentrations of artists’ studios in France and southern Europe in France’s second-largest city.
For RDV/DAC, contemporary art and design are much more than paintings on a wall or functional objects. They are windows onto the creativity, expression and reflection of our time. With a view to helping artists directly, RDV/DAC awards two prizes at the Art-o-rama Contemporary Art and Design Fair.

In 2024, the RDV/DAC Design Prize for creativity and artistic courage in this field was awarded to Charles Kalt, represented by Modulab (Metz) ; and the RDV/DAC Contemporary Art Prize supporting the catalog publication was awarded to the winner of the previous year’s Prix Région Sud Théophylle Dcx.
