Invited by voyons voir, Ugo Schiavi is in residence at the Ateliers Marcel Carbonel, as part of the “Art et Mondes du travail” program supported by the French Ministry of Culture. The artist is developing a research project based on miniatures and clay during several weeks of immersion in the Ateliers, which have been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, and in which the art of Marcel Carbonel, a famous santon-maker based in the Saint Victor district of Marseille, is perpetuated.
